Away and Back Again

I have a lot of comments to post about things I learned this season that will trickle out over the next few weeks. I thought my team had a terrific season, and I was very proud of the progress the kids made over such a short amount of time. I also plan to write some longer posts over the off season and organize the site a little better.

Little League PSA

I know it’s a little like preaching to the choir, but here’s a happy, feel-good Public Service Announcement from Little League that will start running on ESPN this week.

About

“Pray for Rain” is written and edited by Bret Fausett, a father, baseball coach and past President of his local Little League. The title was suggested by the parents on his son’s soccer team. As the parents huddled together on a cold field at 7:30 am on a Saturday morning in January, one of the parents said that she had gone to sleep the night before praying for rain. Another parent suggested that “Pray for Rain” would make a great team name.

It’s a great name for a weblog too.

Bret also blogs about the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (”ICANN”), Internet Governance, and the law at his Lextext weblog.

You can reach Bret by email at his first name (Bret) @ his last name (Fausett) dot(.) com.
